Hi, I just signed up last night and this is my first comment. The reason I’m here is because I have been visiting this blog for a few years now and consider this site for “power-users”. I was looking for some keywords last night and hit on a couple of comments in the Chromebook Apps? blog. This may interest some of you.

I have been testing a “Beta” cloud app called Clibu. It is the brain child of Neville Franks CEO of you guessed it…......Surfulater. You can pick up where I’ve left off here: http://blog.surfulater.com/2014/06/03/search-keywords-by-ken-moshier/
I have been testing it for approx. a month now. Also, there was mention of a Chromebook. I purchased a 14” HP Chromebook Yesterday (6-17-2014) & have been living in the Google ecosystem for the past two days along w/Clibu. I am really impressed with the whole cloud thingy!

Neville had asked me to write an article and post it at the Surfulater site. Here you will see a Clibu link at the top of the page. When you click it, it will take you to the Clibu home page which is stagnant at present. Clibu won’t be released for 2-3 more months. You can get an overview of what Clibu will be used for though. If you decide to click the link I put in above, you will see two screen shots at the end of the article to give you a heads-up of what it looks like.  The “Nested Tags” concept is simple to use and understand.
There is some great talented end-users here at OutlinersSoftware.com & I think Neville would love to see some of you getting involved by signing up to test the Beta Clibu app. You can sign up at the bottom of the page at the Clibu link from Surfulater. Please give it a look see. You can email me at kenmoshier@cox.net if you have any questions. Remember I’m still a new-be and I know enough to be dangerous.

One finale mention…...... The elusive “Frankenstein” model of note taking has been mentioned over at the DonationCoder web site. This may or may not be the Frankenstein app that we are constantly searching for but, it is “Freaking” awesome!! (pun intended)

Hi Ken,

welcome to the forum. Speaking of Chromebooks and capturing websites, here is a Chrome extension I just read about on the DC forum:

“All Seeing Eye captures a screenshot of each page you visit for a quick visual search of your Web history.”

Thank you Dr Andus I’ll check out the links in the next few days. It has been very busy on my end here. Neville Franks (Surfulater) sent me some info on a new build release and also the “Clibu” Web Clipper. I believe it’s now at the Chrome Web Store. Here is what he says about the web clipper: The Clibu Web Clipper lets you quickly and easily clip content from web pages, tag it and then add this along with your own notes to a selected Clibu Knowledge Base.

Information is more important today than ever, but often it is so hard to find that needle in the haystack. We need better ways to capture, organize and get back information. And this is where Clibu comes to your aid.

With Clibu you can:
- Create, collect and edit information quicker and easier than ever before.
- Organize content with Hierarchical Tags and use Full Text Search and Tags Filtering to find it every time.
- Share your content and collaborate with others, with everyone seeing updates as they occur.
- Access your content from any PC using any Operating System anywhere in the World.

I hope I didn’t add too much bloat!!
Best
