I’m not a big “sticky note” program guy, but I ran across this review which gave high praise to Globonote:

it’s a Java program, cross-platform.

Looks interesting, thanks for the post.

Over here on OS X 10.9.2 with Java up-to-date, the app reports “damaged and cannot be opened”.  Any Mac users here had success?

Shame. My experience too on OS10.8.5.
I’d like to find a good full-featured Mac sticky-note application (that installs).

Sorry, should have recognized this as a Gatekeeper error—the download is not “damaged”.  It’s just not recognized as safe.  To fix it, open a Terminal and navigate to the folder where the application is located.  Use

sudo xattr -rc GloboNote.app

there will be a warning and a password prompt.  You’ll need to authenticate as an administrator.  No additional messages will appear.  This procedure needs to be run only once.
