I realize that this is a little off-topic, but has anyone else upgraded to Papers vers 3.x, and had a disappointing experience? I have been a user of the program since vers 1.X. For those of you who don’t know, Papers is a program that is designed to manage your pdfs on your computer(http://www.papersapp.com/). For those of us in professions that require writing and publishing papers in journals, Papers is a godsend. It can search, download, organize, and then allow you to build a bibliography. I have used it for several reviews and a couple of grants. The first version was a little limited, but vers 2.x has been great. I also downloaded the iPad version so I could carry around my pdf library.
However, vers 3.X has turned out to be not so good. First, synching to the iPad version requires you to store your pdfs on Dropbox. I currently have ~2.5 gig of files up on Dropbox, and my library of pdfs is over 3 gig. With my 5 gig limit on Dropbox, this ain’t gonna work. And, you can’t choose another cloud. I have oodles of space on a Skydrive and also more oodles on Box, but you can’t set those up in Papers.
There are several different internal issues with the program that are a pain, but I won’t go into that. Suffice to say, they have taken a step back in the usability arena.
I downgraded back to vers 2.5.5 when I had problems with 3.X. I assume that the folks at Mekentosj(producers of Papers)are working on some of these issues. I am not alone in having problems.
My question is: Has anyone here used vers 3.X, and had it work okay? I would love to support these guys, but not if they are going to put together shoddy programs like this.

Jim
