I downloaded Version 1.2 (1.2.2615) today and did a reinstall; sorry no opml import, opml files are greyed out.

Thank you very much, I missed this!

Hmmm. Strange.  There’s no “Import” command in iThoughtsX 1.2, but over here File > Open will import OPML without problems.  Not all OPML files are created equal.  The OPML standard is loose - but I just now tried File > Open with OPML exported form DEVONthink, Tinderbox, NovaMind 5, and OmniOutliner Pro 3.  All of these opened in iThoughtsX.

Don’t want to be a flack - but there’s an update to iThoughtsX that has a “fix: .opml association”.

Not sure what sort of problems you’re experiencing wih OPML, but if it has to do with the export/importing of notes, check out this message: http://www.outlinersoftware.com/messages/viewm/18334

Apparently there are at least two standards for notes, and one can fix an OPML file by replacing all occurences of one notation with the other in any editor. The difference comes down to a single underscore:

note=”

vs.

_note=”
