just stumbled across this one.  a quick search indicates it’s never been mentioned here.

http://www.rynelf.com/redhaven

it’s a windows program; mac program is planned.

it looks nice, and the price is certainly right.  there may be some potential here.

here’s a review -

on examination - quite rudimentary.  but maybe it could be developed into something.

I hope this is a really rough version. Right now it feels kind of like Maxthink without any of the features that make Maxthink awesome.

It also can’t seem to decide if it’s a single or dual-pane outliner. It’s…yeah, kinda weird.

I don’t see anything in the way of export options, either.

Also, what’s this “Emergency Exit”?

Interesting find. It appears to have been around for a couple of years at least, so I’m amazed it hasn’t been mentioned yet. I wonder what else is lurking out there in the dark web (the irony is that the site runs on Google Sites).

Just having looked at the screenshots and videos, it’s unlikely to tempt me away from Bonsai, but their implementation of colours and styles is one of the most interesting I’ve seen so far:

It’s awkward not to be able to notify the “node titles” in place in the tree.  instead you have to edit the “node title” in the properties pane to the right.

the tree expands and collapses with simple left and right keystrokes like Windows Explorer.  that’s sort of appealing.

but i agree, too rudimentary for my purposes in its present form.
