For $74.00 I couldn’t resist purchasing NoteMap2. I work with Inspiration8 and Brainstorm but couldn’t turn down the bargain and the “power” of NoteMap2. I’ll justify the purchase somehow. Cheers, BliF

Hey, congratulations. I’ll bet you find yourself very satisfied with the purchase.

I use NoteMap extensively; I find it an excellent writing tool.

Of course, there’s probably something even better just waiting ‘round the corner…

Just remember that the export to Word (.doc) has some problems, but export to .rtf works fine and the .rtf files can then be opened in Word.

Don’t expect any updates.

That does seem to be the situation, doesn’t it?

“Small company creates excellent product, large company buys small company out and lets excellent product fade away.” Where have I seen this before?

Nonetheless, I’m still using ECCO, and could see myself using NoteMap ten years from now.

But you’re right, Cassius; prospective NoteMap buyers should be warned that it seems unlikely there will be any further development.

Bob,

In this case, the “small company,”  CaseSoft, told us some time ago that it might have one, final update, but maybe not.  It wasn’t earning enough profit on it.

I’d be surprised if a potential purchaser couldn’t get a discount on it.  That said, it’s a pretty good product.

Has anyone tried running it on Vista?
