Unlike other flat and simplistic products for creating Concept Maps, Mind Maps and pure graphics Diagrams, ThinkComposer has the next advanced capabilities…

- Lets you define your own specialized Domain, with your types of Nodes/Ideas, Relationships (with nomenclature, visual style and details), Markers and Data.
- Each Idea can have multiple Details, such as Attachments, Links, Custom-Fields or Tables.
- Creates Multi-Level documents, where ech Node/Idea expands to a whole new Diagram within.
- Plus: Reporting, Versioning, Markers, Legends, Notes, Callouts, etc..

You can model your world based on this kind of rich content visual document (Compositions).

Hi N?stor,

thank you for this. I’m a SmartDraw user (and I also use VUE and Cmap Tools for concept mapping), so I was keen to try this. I’m sorry to say that I’ve ran into some stability problems with ThinkComposer (TC) as soon as I launched it. I do have the latest .Net 4 and use Win7 with two monitors (extended desktop). When I dragged TC over to my 22 inch screen and maximised it, TC crashed after the simplest tasks, such as checking the About button. It was slightly more stable on my main monitor but it still crashed after the very first attempt of constructing a concept map (I was deleting some relationships between concepts when it gave an error message and then crashed).

Otherwise I liked the speed and simplicity of the concept mapping process but I’d be concerned about losing my work at this level of instability. It might be that these errors are specific to my machine only, but if not, I’d suggest to release this as a beta version, so they can be ironed out.

I look forward to checking out future versions of ThinkComposer.

Hi Dr Andus,

could you please tell me the specs of your machine (CPU cores, speed and RAM)?
I have detected troubles with machines with GHz <= 2 and I’m looking for solutions.

Sorry for the late answer.
Best regards and thanks for trying ThinkComposer!

Néstor.

Hi Dr Andus,

Please, can you send me (support@instrumind.com) your log file of ThinkComposer?

In Win7 it is located in… (please change “[USER]” by your Windows user-name)
C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Local\Instrumind\ThinkComposer\ThinkComposer.log

Thank you very much for your feedback!

Néstor.
