Database Oasis update

This easy to use database application has been discussed in this forum before.

After nearly 2 years in the works, MKF Solutions has finally released its next version of DB Oasis (from v. 2.9 to 3.1).  This upgrade was anticipated because it includes relational database functionality for the first time (in the pro version only).

Unfortunately the update also comes with a major price hike - the pro version has gone from $120 to $250 (if I have my figures right).  Even the pro upgrade is listed at $150.  While I understand the need for them to recoup their development costs, I think I’ll sit on this one.  Hopefully a promotional special will come along somewhere like BdJ.

For that kind of money, you might as well get FileMaker Pro, which I have found to be powerful and pretty easy to use. (Though, admittedly, I am not much of a database expert, and so don’t stretch its abilities much.)
