Hi Cassius,

Well, it was not my intention to disparage Mybase. On the contrary, I liked it a lot and it was the first PIM that showed me the what is possible in terms of data collection and organization. I only switched to UltraRecall due to that program’s ability to sync Windows folders and Outlook folders, and save searches so that all syncs could be made with a single ‘Ctrl-F5’. Ironically, it is now UR’s attributes system that keeps me from switching to anything else.

I found Mybase to be extremely fast, efficient and unparalleled at attaching files. Since I use 24” monitors at work and home, I prefer not to have to use tabs. Also, due to the way I organize information this is not preferable. Anyway, everyone has different preferences and for me this change was a step backward.

The other problem I mentioned was that with multiple windows, if you clicked a new node, all windows opened the new tab. I assumed this was a bug and mailed the developer, without reply. I should mention that they did reply to all my earlier 5.5.1 questions. There are certainly a lot of advantages to Mybase, including the web import, which is very unpredictable in UR.

Best, /Pavi
