Go to wjjsoft.com .

Recently, some people have been wishing that the first item (below) was available in their favorite PIMs:

Version 6.0.8 changes from 6.07:

Added: clipboard monitor for the convenience of capturing info from other programs.
Added: syntax highlighting for T-SQL source code.
Added: a plugin for auto-numbering info items within the outline tree.
Added: pressing Tab to indent selected text within RTF editor, and Shift+Tab to dedent.
Added: pressing Ctrl+Shift+Tab to move focus to the outline tree from within RTF editor.
Fixed: a bug about focus losing while triggering info items by pressing Up/Down keys.
  Minor changes.

FYI MyBase is to be featured in Bits Du Jour within the next days http://www.bitsdujour.com/software/mybase-desktop-addons-pack/

This reminds me:

I’ve used myBase/WebCollect for years and prefer it to Surfulater and other Web capture PIMs.  Very occasionally a Web page cannot be saved, but this seldom occurs and saved Web pages appear in their original format unlike the saved pages in some other PIMs.

A few months ago, I suddenly could not save new “New York Times” pages.  I contacted the developer (wjjsoft.com ; in China-excellent English) and within a few days it sent me a fix.  The developer is very responsive.

It’s on Bitsdujour today. I formerly used v5.5.1, and really like many aspects, especially the easy file attachment with amazing compression. When I tried v6 found some things had regressed: http://www.outlinersoftware.com/messages/viewm/10645

The most serious were:
- Can have multiple windows, BUT it seems like it is impossible to have different nodes open (they both change to current item!)
- Search is still lacking, can?t make multiple Boolean constraints
- Attachments, Item links, Symbolic Links and Labels are tabs in the same pane (relationship pane). This is very annoying, as in 5.5.1 item links were in a separate window under the tree. Having to click tabs constantly reduces the strength of information overview

Certainly the first was a bug as it rendered multiple windows useless. The single window was a step backward as the ability to have separate windows for links, attachments, etc. made the PIM richly functional. Does anyone know if these have been fixed/improved?

Best, /Pavi

DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN.

TRY “ADVANCED SEARCH.”  Works for me.

Personally, I prefer it this way.  Maybe because my laptop has an 11.1” screen.

Separate windows for Attachments, Item Links, Symbolic Links, and Labels exist.  They appear under the right pane.  But they are accessed by tabs, so only one is displayed at a time.  Again, with my screen, this is preferable.
