Is there such a thing as a hierarchical online web clipping service? I’d like an online equivalent of Surfulater (exact replica would be fine :), where you can capture text or images or entire pages, and then be able to put them in folders that are in a hierarchical tree and where one can freely organise the tree in whatever order. I’m not so interested in Delicious-type bookmarkers or ones that use tags only in a running tape system. Any suggestions?

Thanks Alexander. Another one I just came across that seems to have a lot of flexibility with folders is http://www.memonic.com/

I recommend having a look at Zotero as well. Although it’s billed as a reference manager, it also functions well (for my purposes at least) as a web clipper, and allows the use of both tags and hierarchical folders (as well as saved searches). It’s very easy, for instance, to just click a button to store a copy of an entire web page. (I’m not sure how sophisticated it is in terms of clipping parts of web pages.)
