Good to know; they obviously received some feedback on the issue.

I actually find the recording quality of the Pulse very good, even with under non-ideal circumstances.

For plain writing I use IRISnotes, which is also much handier to carry around. I purchased it at a discount; the offer may actually still be active http://www.irislink.com/c2-1840-225/IRISnotes———-The-Digital-Pen-that-types-what-you-write-.aspx

The handwriting recognition software accompanying the Executive version is actually quite good. If you don’t need it, the standard version is substantially cheaper.
