In the wake of our discussion yesterday around “Debunking the 1000 Hours of Practice Myth,” in which I talked up mindfulness, the following post from my blog may be of relevance (or not!): http://bit.ly/vmekgT

Although the post was written from the perspective of overcoming morning anxiety which threatens to block one’s accomplishments in the day, it reflecst an approach based on making conscious choices, and the notion of mindful awareness is implicit. Given the discussion yesterday and the various concerns we’ve discussed here over the years, I felt it might be relevant to offer this post here FWIW! If it is too far off-topic, I apologize in advance.

{Also, on my blog there is an advert for the Get Focused Multimedia Course, which I think someone mentioned here yesterday, at 63% off - if you link to the Bits du Jour site through the advert and make a purchase, it will also help to support my work.}

My post outlines a way of working through anxiety and overwhelm, and a methodology which may be helpful in getting things done whether anxiety is an issue or not. My experience with my own CRIMPing over the years is that much of the push to explore new programs is an externalization of my own need to develop internal processes of dealing with thoughts, feelings, and behaviours more effectively.

FYI,  I followed the link and bought the course (I was going to anyway, as I find Roger Constadse’s work consistent and useful)

P.S. The deal has been extended for today as well.

Thanks for the hint, Daly.

I even turned off AdBlock in Firefox to be able to click on the ad and buy the course :-)

Franz, thank you. I am going through particularly desperate times, and people’s support of the affiliate ads on my site are much appreciated (though to be hones I need to at least tripple the number of daily hits on the blog to get the numbers working for me).

Cheers, and thanks again!
