Taking note
A blog on the nature of note-taking and some of its practical as well as theoretical implications.
http://takingnotenow.blogspot.com

Thought I would pass this along - I would be interested in hearing about other blogs focused on outlining / PIMs / notetaking / organizing.

Interesting blog.

It’s by Manfred, a (former) member of this forum. He stopped posting here last year after a dispute. Though I do not always agree with what he writes in his blog or wrote in this forum, I miss his posts here.

Just fyi, the cyborganize.org site was broken for a good long while and is just now working again.

I started experimenting with different themes and then got distracted, but now am finishing up rewriting the content and transferring it over.

It’s not easy to find a good simple theme that transmits long content well. I eventually settled on Toolbox and am quite happy with it, except I can’t set variable size headings. Maybe there’s a plugin for that, hmm.

I hope this version is finally clear and understandable. Still need to do a longform loop video at the minimum.

Oh yeah, My Notetaking Nerd writes a lot about notetaking apps, he’s a big connectedtext fan like Marcus.

There aren’t many blogs out there like that, so I mostly get my news on the niche via Google Alerts, which works pretty well.

You might also follow Gradhacker. Cal Newport is great but he focuses more on strategies than tools. And there’s lifehacker of course.

Others: productivitybits, GTD forum (you can rss subscribe to both i believe)

Thanks JB ... I found some interesting articles in those blogs.  May I ask what search terms have produced the best results for your Google Alerts?
