There doesn’t appear to be any Non-Fiction templates. Is this normal, or are they just missing due to it being a beta?

The current Mac version does not have any non-fiction templates either.

I saw a note on the forums the other day about templates, they’re working on improving them in Version 2. So Mac users will get better templates, Windows users won’t.

It’s important to note: the windows version is matching features of Scrivener v 1. (1.6, I think); while they’re releasing v2 for the Mac at the same time.

I’ve been using it a few hours now, and its the same (more or less) as Scrivener on my Mac.
bottom line - its great!

Scrivener for Windows 1.7 is out; see what’s new here:
http://www.literatureandlatte.com/scrivWinChangeList.php#version-1_7_1

In the words of Litterature and Latte:

“Nine months ago we decided to lay the groundwork for the biggest free feature update for the Windows version of Scrivener to date. We had an ambitious goal to bring as many of the features you’ve been asking for over the years as we could, all the while going through piles of existing code, refining and optimising along the way. It has been a long haul, but we are finally ready to make this available to all current Scrivener users on Windows. We hope you find the new version to be as much of an improvement to your writing projects as we have.
[...]
Version 1.7 is closer than ever to the Mac version, and is far beyond our original goals for the 1.x series, but we still have much to do. We have some awesome new things planned for the future. Stay tuned! As they say, we’ve only just begun.”
