Twig has been out and stable for a couple months now.  At first i didn’t “get” it, but I think I’m now starting to understand and appreciate it, and I may be growing rather fond of it.

Does anyone who has been playing with it for a while have any observations to share?

Sorry, Wes, I uninstalled Twig—not because there was anything wrong with it, but because I was afraid I was going to buy it. But I am eager to learn of your experiences with it.

So am I. The key questions for me are: “What is it really for?” and (relatedly) “Once you’ve created an outline in it, how can you get it usefully out and into another application, without re-typing and without Tinderbox?”

Good question; it’s still a curiosity to me, and I’m slowly growing more fond of it, but it’s not yet found a firm place in my workflow..  I think it’s focused on capturing and analyzing notes in a simple, focused environment.

Simple IMHO: select a tree and copy it, then paste.  It pastes as an outline directly into OmniOutoiner, and as tab-indented text into TextMate.

Looks like Twig bit the dust….

I tried to go to http://www.eastgate.com/Twig/, and the Twig page briefly flashes, but then switches over to the Tinderbox page.  A search of the Eastgate site reveals no links to Twig pages nor any links to purchase it.

It must not have gotten sufficient traction with users to keep development moving forward, especially with the work being put toward TB6….

The PIM graveyard sure is one crowded piece of real estate!!!
