Hi, all,

Maybe you're getting burned out learning about the flood of new notes apps that are appearing. I probably wouldn't mention Contextly, but it feels to me like a light version of Agenda, where you can link notes to Calendar events. It is still rough around the edges, and I wouldn't at this point recommend it, but it seems to have potential to be a handy notes app. If you're interested, here's the website:

$40/year for a rough around the edges app from a new/unknown/unproven dev without a track record is not something that appeals, but the free tier seems generous and offers Calendar sync. I wonder how it would work as a journaling app.

I am always cautious about devs who do not identify themselves or their track records. I'm a little burned out on all the vibe-coded apps, typically using REA, by unidentified individuals who probably don't understand their apps' code and can't easily update or fix bugs in them but buy a domain and throw out their app a couple of months later.

A friend in the audio software market tells me that between a soft economy, the rise of AI-created music, and an explosion of oftern moderately useful vibecoded music-related plugins, the business has been extremely tough this year and could implode for many devs by 2028.
