Hello, PKM fans! I'm a Newbie here.

I've been reading & searching posts on OutlinerSoftware and learned a lot from your discussions. And today I want to register a new account to share this newly discovered PKM product: LisTARDIS.

This product is like a combination of GTD Inbox + Outliner with multiple Views (Tree Map, Split Map, Kanban, Note Cards, etc.) + Calendar + Gantt Chart + Writing-Room-style Editor with Markdown support and "no-bullet" view. It provides AI and MCP functions, but the User Interface does not look like AI-centric.

The most remarkable part: most of its Major UI elements, Core Features and Recommended Usage has interactive, step-by-step demos or tutorials. I believe everyone familiar with Outliner and Office Apps will follow the tutorials without difficulties.

I'm not sure if I can post URL as new user, but you can search for the product name and find its official website easily. It also provides a Sci-Fi like Product Demo Walkthrough named "The sun has called in sick." which is a funny read.

Hello and welcome to the forum!

Thanks for pointing this one out. It looks pretty amazing; a bit like WorkFlowy but with a lot more views. I'm trying it and it seems a bit overwhelming at first, but they've definitely put a lot of effort into the in-app help material, so that should help a lot with the learning curve.

So, you have nothing to do with the development or promotion of lisTardis?

It appears to be developed by Frank Degenaar, who has written several books about Workflowy. Here is an email I received from him a few days ago:

Over the past year, I’ve been building LisTARDIS—an app that brings together much of what I’ve been writing about, teaching, and tinkering with for over a decade.

You know what happens when I get my hands on an outliner... This time, I got to build the outliner too.

And I’m immensely proud of what’s emerged from the furnace.

LisTARDIS gives you a handful of universal views to play with. Instantly transform your outline into a mind map, spread it into a radial map, branch it out into a tree map or a split map... or work your way through cascading columns, Kanban boards and Notes view. Same material, an array of thinking spaces.

There are also dynamics like Book Preview: you get to see your manuscript as a beautifully formatted book you can flip through while it's still under construction.

And then comes the equally important part: giving your ideas, plans and dreams a place on your timeline—for which there are several ways to view your life's timeline.

If you’ve read my book on the Timeline Method, you’ll know how much thought went into a system that transformed workflows and lives.

The Timeline Method is built into LisTARDIS, allowing you to bring your work forward to its next useful moment. The book you’re writing, the project you’re digging into, and the daily bits and pieces all have their moment.

A beautiful collection of possibilities is a breathtaking thing. So is actually living out more than a few of them.

A small group has been putting LisTARDIS through its paces. Nick Catton put something into words that I’d hoped people would feel:

“LisTARDIS combines impressive functionality with all the minimalist elegance that I’ve always loved about working with an outliner.
The whole experience, from using the app itself to engaging in the integrated forum, requesting features, and seeing how quickly new developments and small fixes are implemented, feels so fluid.
The foundation is extensive, and feels rock solid, and at the same time, there’s this wonderful sense of how much potential there is for LisTARDIS to grow and evolve alongside its user base.
At this stage, I’m all in.”

I’d love for you to see LisTARDIS for yourself.

You know how I enjoy a little narrative with my show-and-tell, and so I’ve put together something especially for the occasion:
The Sun Has Called In Sick ?

It’s a walkthrough where you get to watch LisTARDIS at work amidst a quirky backstory.

You can create an account right now if you want and try LisTARDIS during a 7-day trial, with full functionality.

For launch week, I have an offer that will never repeat again:

If you fall in love with LisTARDIS, take advantage and lock yourself in at 40% off the monthly or yearly subscriptions, for the life of the app.

To get Founder pricing, please upgrade before the countdown ends on November 5.
Come and try LisTARDIS ?

Bring something you’re working on. A few thoughts, a project, a chapter. I’d love to hear what you make of it.

See you in the already buzzing LisTARDIS forum!

I have no connection to this other than having bought one of his ebooks and being on his mailing list.
