I am encouraged that you got a reply, it will be interesting to see how it develops.

For me the main plus is the concept itself, i.e. a hierarchical spreadsheet. Actually, that was how I first saw it mentioned in a forum and eventually registered it, a few years ago.

I use it in project planning, especially budgetting; it’s the easiest and most intuitive way I’ve found to play around with “what if” scenarios adding and/or deleting tasks and items and seeing the overall effect in time and money required. It’s also great for presenting the project.

I find it’s a shame that development has stopped (at least until now). The only other program I’ve found that can do something similar is Mind Manager but I find its related functions far from intuitive.

I am very sceptical about its further development regardless of what the company says. My own support mails in the past remained unanswered. Sometime ago I came across the CV of a freelance programmer who claimed that he had developed the application on behalf of Varatek.

Anyway, it’s good to know that they’ve replied; Graham, I suggest that you write them again for your unlock key; if you recall, it’s a special file that the program must locate upon startup.

cheers
alx
