I tried to get a response from Gogle but nothing. Thus my OT post here.
Recently GMail has taken space of about an inch at the bottom of each post whenever I open it to display reply options. Phone sceens are already smalll enough without this additon.
My question - how do I get rud of it? Nothing seems to remove it. I went trough the feedback/help process offered by Google; it is less helpful than I remember it.
Has anyone here had this reply bar show up and, if so, manage to get rid of it. Thank you.

It is on my Samsung phone as well, but I have not had time to see if there is a way to reduce or remove it. I suspect not, but until I confirm, I cannot say for certain.

Thanks Ken -
It now appears Google has made other changes to GMail on the Samsung, none of which imrove the appearance or the ease of use on a cell phone’s small screen.
I did try to get help from Google re the ugly reply graphics of which I first wrote. There was no response, in keeping with my previous experience yeas ago with Google’s lack of a practical and responsive help system.
I generally like GMail and don’t want to have to change programs and email address after many years of using GMail.
I am curious what you and others think/suggest Ken. Thanks.

I am probably not going to be of much help as I try to do all of my more lengthy replies on a desktop PC, and just use my phone for simple replies. But I agree that their latest UI changes to Android, and Samsung’s latest UI, changes were a major fail IMHO.
