Hi.

Masonware just added a couple of new presentations on their website showing the new search feature and a number of extensions to the sources/material handling features: http://www.ideamason.com/products/Ver30_preview.htm

Greetings from Bavaria, Franz

Franz,

Thanks very much for these. IdeaMason is becoming really interesting and I look forward to the launching of the new version.

Franz and others,

You can’t imagine how curious I am to test IdeaMason 3.0!

They are adding all the features I want to have in such an application and IdeaMason will be my primary data/information storage and writing tool.

These are the key and critical features for me:
- adding notes quickly (with shortcuts)
- working with categories instead of outliner structures (an outliener structure valid today is not valid tomorrow)
- linking each information and note chunk to a source
- using the composition tool to quickly pull together Word or rtf files
- linking and cross-linking between all the items in IdeaMason
- storing pics (screenshots), tables and drawings separated from the text
- strong search engine including the possiblity to save often used searches

Version 2.2 is already worth the money but v3 will be a bargain.

IdeaMason really listened to the customers and their feedbacks. And they are communicating regularly on their website.
I have never seen a such a responsive company like them.

PS:
I just like good software!
I am not doing business with IdeaMason and any other company mentioned in this forum.
