Invasive ads

Hi, all,
I understand that Chris needs to get some compensation for running this site, which I very much appreciate. But recently the ads have become very invasive. They pop up blocking the main screen until I dismiss them. Click to some other topic, and up they pop again. This is very annoying. Does anyone else experience this? If so, what do you think. I don’t want to be a jerk about this, but it makes me not want to access the posts here.

I don’t see them. My browsers usually have integrated pop-up and ad blockers. Much of the internet is impossible otherwise.

I don’t know if ads are employed by the site owner but I’ve never once seen an ad on this site. Although I use an ad-blocker, every major browser today also has the ability in its Settings to block pop-ups.

I’ve seen the same format ads appear on other sites. They may be something injected by the hosting company, not our benefactor here.

Steve, sorry you are getting intrusive ads. I actually thought I removed all advertising from the site, but maybe I missed something. I’ll look into it.
