Open source app Joplin just launched its plugin site, with over 150 plugins available for download, ranging from theming plugins to note-merge, backups, WYSIWYG Markdown, citation integration via BibTeX, and more. I like the idea of the Hot Folders plugin, which I haven’t tried yet: it watches a local folder and auto-imports files as new notes in the app.

The also recently announced that the app is now Apple Silicon-native.

I was curious when they were going to do that. It seemed like many users were not aware that there were plugins for mindmapping, graph view, kaban, calendars etc.  Have not finished going through them, but I have found a many that I did not know existed.

Soem interesting ones

surprised that there has not been more on Joplin here. Maybe it is buried in the comments.

Plugin options have really expanded and the app has gained quite the following among tech enthusiasts and also people who do not consider themselves very tech savvy.

Like that Joplin has native apps including portable apps, lots of syncing options   good webclipper, outliner plugins, kanban,  notes tabs,  Offline privacy focused Ai options,  OCR,  converting emails to notes with a thunderbird plugin,  send notes to joplin in a number of ways via email,
