Clibu Notes - New Releases and Blog Posts

Hi all, we’ve had a steady stream of Clibu Notes releases since I last posted.

Most recently we’ve added (Work) Spaces which enable you to segment the Notes Tree and focus on a single branch of notes. A bit like hoisting but far more useful as each Space maintains it’s own complete app state.

We’ve improved Date views, Links and Backlinks amongst others and fixed a range of issues.

I’ve also started writing on the Clibu Blog again, after a too long a break.

“How I use Clibu Notes” at https://blog.clibu.com/2023/08/08/how-i-use-clibu-notes/ is a detailed article on how I organize notes and the main editing capabilities I use.

“Clibu Notes: Your data, stored locally, available on all your devices.” at https://blog.clibu.com/2023/08/05/clibu-notes-your-data-stored-locally-available-on-all-your-devices/ goes into detail about “local first software” and how Clibu Notes meets those objectives.

If you haven’t signed up to use Clibu Notes yet, please do give it a try. We’d love to get your feedback.

If you already have access and haven’t tried it recently spare some time to see where we’re up to and do give us your thoughts.

Under full feature editors it says ‘use mardown’

Yes you can use markdown to enter text as well as using editing toolbar commands and keyboard shortcuts.

For example to bold text you can type: **Some text**  or select “Some text” and press Ctrl+B or click the [B] toolbar button.

Markdown is converted to formatted text as it is completed, so you don’t actually see the markdown. We may provide a markdown view in the future.

The Help has sections for Markdown, Keyboard Shortcuts, Toolbars, Slash Menu etc.

I hope that answers your question.

I think he’s talking about the spelling mistake.  It says “mardown” instead of “markdown” if I’m not mistaken.

Many thanks Lb. Completely missed that - twice. :-)

I’m working on the Website adding screen shots and will correct that.
