Is EverNote still the best for tagged note taking

Try CintaNotes, currently free, pro version in the pipeline. Very elegant tag-based solution for managing text notes. Rather like the old EverNote.

Carefully thought out. Extremely seamless user experience. Worth looking at if just to see the innovative design touches.

And very keen developer, busy forum.

I use it as my short-term memory/gtd in-box. Also great for brainstorming. After a week or so, the note gets dumped or sent to Zoot.
