Is EverNote still the best for tagged note taking

I’ve seen tags in Personal Brain, with a simple query being performed by just clicking on the tag label in a list.
However its data manipulation and publishing capabilities are relatively basic.
There’s also Brilliant Database (BDB) which allows for very specific queries and a lot of idiosyncrasy in how you store
and format data, however it requires an investment of time to learn and there is no schematic (over)view of records.
Personally I use BDB for anything important (including tasks, schedules and job-tracking) due to its versatility, however
I wish it had an intuitive node-based UI similar to Personal Brain…
