Hi Jim. I at first found the screen a little confusing, but in fact you use very few of the options once you get started using it. There are a lot of buttons because you can customize everything, but I doubt that most people will want to do that, so they are seldom used.

I don’t know much about the database and the type of files it uses.

About the reports, yes, there is only one general format for reporting your general records, but that report uses different headers depending on the way you choose to label all the data fields you use for storing information. I found it did what I wanted for different types of records so I have no complaints about that.

I did have a couple of questions and I got replies very quickly via e-mail. I can’t remember how long it took, but I got answers to my questions. There were a couple of things I couldn’t understand at first, but when they explained what I had to do, it made sense and I was able to get things the way I wanted.

I am not sure if this will help you, but I find that I am using this software every day now and I love it. I open it in the morning and leave it open, and then I often use it to access programs that I run or web sites that I visit, especially when those web sites or programs require ID’s and passwords, because they are now at my fingertips in one program and I just copy and paste them from the RecordsKeeper - it works well. I can also store any other information that I might need for that web-site, such as questions and answers to renew a password, or the order ID in case I need support.

Anyway, I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, I am sure they can help you, but so can I as I use this product all the time.
