Wikipedia has a “Comparison of note-taking software”, which is probably as good a starting point as any, though it is not great. For example, ConnectedText text is still listed, although it is well past best-by date, and Bear is not listed at all. It’s not the only thing missing.

Personally, I think making lists like this is a hopeless task. There can be no objective standards for what to include. Keeping lists up to date is a thankless job.
