Any other outliner that works nicely with HDD folders?

Notebooks is great and Alfons is an extremely capable developer, but development for the Windows version is … slow … to be kind. Notebooks has so much potential as a front end for just about everything I try to lasso on my computer. I truly love the way it works, how it helps, and how it gets out of the way. But a big update is long overdue.
