Daly, I agree that there should be more explicit and upfront explanation of such questions. Unfortunately, many users don't seem to care nowadays.

According to their privacy policy (link at the bottom of the page), the app is cloud based, the servers are located in the EU and UK "when possible" and they "do not accept liability for unauthorized disclosure."
