Just a quick note to let people know that the ridiculously powerful MacJournal is still being updated, and is still free to download (from Dan Schimpf’s website at https://danschimpf.com). It’s reached version 7.0.4 (version history here: https://danschimpf.com/macjournal/history.html)

The name doesn’t do the software justice, implying that it’s simply a journaling app. Nothing could be further from the truth: MacJournal is an information and knowledge management app with an enormous range of functions. I use it as a general information repository, but am well aware that I’m not taking advantage of more than about 2% of its capabilities (rich text storage and search).

As the name suggests, it’s only available for macOS at the moment.
