I like the idea of embedding todos within project notes. One issue I have with Things 3 has been I have to write notes within each todo. That is not the right strategy for me because I look at things from top (big picture) to down (to specific tasks).
I have the project—> I have the todos within the project.
The regular todo app doesn’t give propert environment to reflect on the big picture (the project).
in Things, as I mark the todo as [done], the notes associated with it are also gone with it.
Embedding the notes within the todos also breaks the flow of the ideas within the extended note. I often want to reflect on what I wrote within a chapter. I then find some tasks still need to done. Things 3 hasn’t been the best tool for this kind of system because it is a todo based; not much space for an extended reflection.
I have been using FoldingText for this.
FoldingTExt is even better for scheduling a day: want to do this task from 3pm to 8pm.
Noteplan doesn’t support the hourly scheduling as FoldingText. But, it supports daily scheduling of tasks. That is good progress.
It is a promising software.
