Gingko going open source via a Kickstarter campaign

From the Gingko blog: “I’ve decided not to pursue the Kickstarter Open Sourcing at this time.”

Just like the commenter said there, I’m also relieved that Adriano has decided to stay on. Nothing against open source per se, but it’s not all that easy to create a community of developers. This way there is at least one person dedicated to developing, or if nothing else, keeping the software functional.

In fact he’s added some new features recently:

“I added Copy/Paste to Gingko a few weeks ago. You can now hit Ctrl+C to copy a subtree, and Ctrl+V to paste it.”
