I agree that Listary is pretty cool. I described it before as a mixture between Direct Folders and Everything Search Engine (in fact Listary will allow you to use Everything as default search engine instead of its own). There is some overlap between DF and Listary, but you can disable the redundant functions and use the rest to complement each other.

The latest beta Listary also integrates with the latest beta DOpus (I’ve been using them and work fine):
