Dear Daly et al,

Indeed, it’s been quite a few months since I last logged in to the OutlinerSOftware forum or, for that matter, to any other of the forums I’ve been following over the last couple of years :-(

The reason is that since October I’ve moved to a sort of communications limbo area, which is nevertheless located only a few kilometers away from this country’s capital, Athens.

It took 4 months to get our phone line installed and this is of a type (PCM - pulse code modulated, a line shared between many homes) that prohibits any kind of internet connection useful for my purposes; the highest speed I’ve managed to get was 28 kbps as far as I remember and that didn’t last long.

I am not ungrateful though and definitely don’t regret moving; the place is very beautiful, close to one of the few remaining forest lands in the wider Athens area.

Also, my office connection is fine and I have no problem professional communications-wise. However, as this is a very busy period, I have practically censored myself from non-professional acivity during office hours.

I now commute on a daily basis and so does my wife, so we get home more or less at the same time every evening; though my internet persona has suffered, the lack of connection has probably benefited my family life :-)

Hopefully by summertime the local telephone network will have been upgraded and I’ll be able to do some more private work from home; in fact, I’ve just been accepted to the University of Liverpool’s on-line MBA course ( http://www.ohecampus.com/ )

That’s it for the moment; hope all is well on your side. It’s nice to see that the forum is alive and kicking and I hope to be able to contribute from time to time.

All the best
Alexander
