Outline within outliner?

Yes. I only use it as a desktop software on the PC, exclusively as an outliner (although I do have the Palm app as well, I never really managed to find a way to integrate it into my activities.)

Basically by switching off all the panes and task management columns and by just using it as a plain vanilla single pane outliner. I like it because it’s fast to use (to enter and structure text), can colour code the levels by hierarchy, and zoom in and out of branches and collapse levels selectively (1,2,3 4 or show all). The only thing that could be improved for my liking if notes could also be displayed in-line, but, oh, well… I can live with that.
