I use Ecco Pro and have used GrandView since it first appeared. (GV is the successor to PC Outline-both developed by John Friend.)

While ECCO has many marvelous features, some of which are analogous to some of GV’s features, Ecco’s outlining capabilities are pitiful when compared with GV’s.

Despite the testimonial on CaseLogic’s site to NoteMap being superior to GV, don’t believe it. Doesn’t hold a candle!

The best DOS outliners for Windows were (IMHO) GV, PC Outline, MaxThink. Perhaps the new MaxThink for Windows will be as good. And perhaps someday NoteMap also will be.
