That sounds like the current versions of Correlate and InfoSelect, and it sounds a bit like the 1980’s Framework program. With that, each line in the outline could be a sentence, a WP document, a SS, or a DB. Kind of good for organizing giant progjects (like a textbook), but the disk files were huge.
