Two ways:

1. Click on the “Today” link at left. The resulting view will show a calendar on the right. Days in the current month with messages are highlighted. You can also shift to the previous months.

2. Click on the “Topics” link. That will lead to a list of the current month’s topics. Click on one of those & you will see the chain of messages for that topic.

I also find this site frustrating: one cannot browse a large chunk of past messages at one time. I also miss having a search engine. These flaws are especially surprising for a site that is devoted to innovative ways of representing information.
