I’ve been disappointed with most of the Palm outliners, from the standpoint that I want an outliner that runs on a PC (or Mac, or Linux box, or whatever) and syncs to a Palm device.

The Palm outliners I like generally don’t have a PC companion piece I like, or if they do, it’s so lame as to be nearly worthless, and the synchronization process is a hassle. (BrainForest)

I don’t recall the names of all the packages, but I’ve tried most of the Palm outliners out there. I have been using Ecco Pro for a number of years to manage my notes and to-do’s, and while it “sort of” syncs with a Palm, there are some warts with the process.
