I for one prefer Windows (or Mac) GUI over DOS text-based programs. The advantage of windows for me is not using the menu (these days I rarely use the menu—toolbars, toolbars, and more toolbars), but the ability to move things around graphically to me is very important also WYSWYG.

This way I can do my thinking without having to resort to complex commands or visual limitations.
