My experiences with PCO/Win were very similar to Jeffrey Smith’s and Steve Cohen’s.

I find this all pretty interesting.  Hardware has advanced 2-3 orders of magnitude on all fronts from when PCO first appeared: CPU benchmarks, memory space and disk space are all 100 to 1,000 times greater.  Supposedly there has been great progress on the language front since Assembler days. Yet updating PCO into the Windows environment so that it works as well as the original, plus fonts, OLE etc. seems just beyond our grasp. Why?
