Although I’ve used MORE extensively for years, I never upgraded from MORE II 2.01 to MORE 3.  This was in part due to my impression that MORE 3 was being moved more towards a presentation product, without any of the additional word processing features I had hoped for to enhance outlining.  I was also concerned at the time about Symantec’s claims that the interface had been entirely re-written.  I was very happy with MORE 2’s interface and have always thought it about the best of any software I’ve used, a complex problem that might not be appreciated if one had not used earlier versions of the program.

Consequently, I’ve continued to use MORE II for eleven years now, and am still using it pretty much daily with Mac OS9, with virtually no problems, once I raised the memory allocation to 5MB.  It now runs very fast (bullet and tree charts also seem to work, and very fast).  The only problem has been with the spell checker, and with command-shift key strokes, which work fine unless you mess with the Keyboard Control Panel.  If you do, you may have to re-install MORE to get these working again.
