OK,

Let’s have a vote.  For want of no other specific suggestions, I suggest that we vote NOW (see below)on the following proposition:

If we do not hear anything from Dave Winer by Monday, Feb. 27 noon U.S. EST, we move to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/outliners-pims/  at least until (if ever) we decide on a new permanent site.

As outliners.com may crash at any time, I suggest that each of us do the following:

1) Become a member of http://groups.yahoo.com/group/outliners-pims/

2) Post one message on http://groups.yahoo.com/group/outliners-pims/ stating either:  “yes let’s move if nothing from Dave by Monday noon   EST”  OR “no, let’s give outliners.com a bit longer to straighten out.”

Please do not post a soliloquy with your vote!

I’ll count the votes some time on Monday afternoon or night.  (You can count them too!)

—>> THERE IS A POSSIBLE PROBLEM !!!

If we quit outliners.com, it and all of the past postings may disappear.  The solution to this is to have one of us download all of the previous postings.  There are several software packages available that can automate this downloading.  (Many of them have a free trial period with full functionality.)  Unfortunately, I can’t do it because I only have dial-up, am runnung Win98SE, have a slow processor, limited RAM, and little space on my hard drive.

If someone is willing to do this, please inform us at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/outliners-pims/ .  If software is used that preserves postings as individual files, we might be able to post them (as a zipped file?) in the files section of http://groups.yahoo.com/group/outliners-pims/  .  I do not know what size limit Yahoo! has placed on files, but I expect that there is a limit, because I know that Yahoo! limits the pixel count of image files.
