Derek,

A feature of GrandView that I have always valued is the powerful in-line text function. Not only can you attach a ream of text to any single item, but you can view it in one of three ways: 1. Folded up so you see only the item headings; 2. Unfolded, so you can read the text of each heading, allowing you to view your outline (or parts of it) holistically… that is, with all its parts showing simultaneously (an ability all two-pane outliners lack); and 3. Focused just on the in-line text, with no other outline element visible. This allows you to perform all writing tasks in one program. No other program that I’ve ever come across has provided this functionality.

Steve Z.
