You may like think that this is the case, but 5 minutes is a long time when testing software !!

I am actally back with MyBase. Compressing the large images in Word so they are only Screen resolution and switching off the compression in MyBase has speeded things up to a satsfactory level, and being able to create a single exe from the MyBase database that has all the search tools of MyBase is rather attractive. For my own use I still think AskSam is better, but whether it is better enough to pay for the upgrade is another question.

Any way I have downloaded Treedb and sitting here wondering whether it is just taking a long time to import the first Word file I have tried or if it has actually crashed :-( I think it has crashed, but I will give it another 5 -10 minutes.

Well that is now 9 minutes of 99% CPU use by Treedb and it is still working on the import !!

I shall report back later.
