In fact, there’s nothing to stop one from replicating a standard structure, along with colour-coded levels from one model to another. However, there’s not much to help them do it either, i.e. a feature to label entries as Categories or Topics, so that they can be copied without their content.

In the past, Graham had suggested using an external application to maintain a standard hierarchy of topics that could be copied across several complementary programs. (For example, I often want to replicate my topic hierarchy from IDEA! to Brainstorm or vice versa, but this can’t be done at present.)

That said, it is clear that currently Brainstorm doesn’t provide a way to easily reorganise information across multiple levels, as would be ideal when the structure is already known. I think that the “editable/interactive Aerial View” concept is probably the single WIBNI feature that would make the most difference re this kind of operation.
