Sorry to hear that Arabic is not available yet in Lingua.

I registered Nota Bene v6, but have not upgraded, mainly for the reasons you give. It’s often a pain to work with separate components rather than an integrated suite but in my case I had to work with Word because of colleaguess’ requirements, and I found a comination of Zoot and dtSearch served me better than NB’s other components. I am embarrassed to say after all these years as an academic that I still don’t use bibliographic software routinely…

I don’t think so, but others on this forum have more recent experience in using it.

Yes, the lack of full unicode support is a problem. Lack of RTF is another, although I think its value is often overrated - e.g., as applied to Zoot. Confining programs to working with pure text makes designing software to implement the complex manipuation of text a lot easier, I’d imagine.

Like some others on this forum, I’m a great Zoot supporter, for all its quirks and limitations. For my needs, nothing comes within a mile of touching it.
