I think there are several choices, though it is debatable whether they fall into the “simple” category; you haven’t mentioned “cheap” by the way so I’m not sure how they will suit your budget.

The products I am aware of that should cover most of what you want, starting with Outlook sync, are JVCGantt Pro, Project Kickstart and Franklin-Covey’s PlanPlus. Do an advanced google search for the above, limiting results to domain outliners.com and you will find plenty of info in recent discussions.

Since all these programs fall in the $100+ price range you may want to reconsider whether they are worth it just as intermediate steps before the next Omea Pro release.

BTW, a significantly cheaper product, but without Outlook integration, is Agenda At Once.

I admit that I have only recently become an Outlook user, and only by necessity, so among the multitude of available plug-ins I may be missing one that fits your description much closer.
