I did eventually, and he came back to me promtly; today we actually worked out a solution, i.e. found specific fonts that work. I don’t have the wide choice that latin alphabet users do but I can live with that. At least I can try the program out properly!

The following note from the developer might be of wider interest:

“We have been working hard to internationalize TimeTo: our next release includes Metric paper size, and better implementation of several features for users of non-English version of Windows”.
